The Os were down 6-1 in the 4th last night against the Rays, but this time their comeback came up short. John Knott had his first career home run in the 9th as a pinch hitter while Paul Bako also had a pinch-hit HR in the 8th. The final score: Tampa Bay 6, Baltimore 4. The loss went to starting pitcher Steve Trachsel who falls to 0-1 with a 5.19 ERA.
The Orioles are now at 7-7 on the season which puts them a game back from the second-place Boston Red Sox and a game and a half back from the first place Toronto Blue Jays.
