7-11 Clerk murdered overnight in Columbia

An unidentified clerk at the 7-11 convenience store in the 5700 block of Columbia Road in Columbia was shot around 3 a.m. and died later at Shock Trauma. A call to 911 shortly after the shooting by someone outside reported that the shooter headed toward Route 108 on foot.

Police are on the lookout for a man 5′8″ - 5′10″ wearing all dark clothes, a hooded sweatshirt, and a mask. Call police at (410) 313-3200 if you have any details about this crime. Radio traffic reports until almost 9 a.m. indicated that Columbia Road was closed between Little Patuxent Parkway and 10 Mills Road as part of the investigation.
