Expansion underway at malls

Posted by Jeff Quinton on May 29, 2007

The Examiner today reports on expansion plans at Towson Town Center and Mondawmin Mall. Both are owned by General Growth Properties of Chicago.

The $70 million worth of renovations at Mondawmin Mall are expected to result in several big box retailers locating at the property. General Growth is also providing $50,000 for improvements at Douglas High School.

Renovations at Towson Town Center started with renovations to the Food Court, which were completed earlier this spring. The expansion underway will push the mall over a million square feet (which is an addition of 95 thousand sq. ft.)
