Good Morning! Today’s weather forecast is calling for a high near 60 with mostly sunny skies and winds of 5-10 mph. Tonight there will be scattered rain turning into showers later overnight with a low in the lower 40s and wind gusts up to 25 mph.

While it’s a regular Monday with all the blahs that go along with it for most people, the Brigade of Midshipmen at the Naval Academy have today off from classes following their victory over Notre Dame over the weekend. Plebes were even allowed to leave campus yesterday in a respite from the tighter rules in place this year.

The second week of the special session of the legislature kicks off tonight with the Senate convening at 6 p.m. and the House meeting Tuesday. No vote is expected on the slots and tax plan proposed by Governor Martin O’Malley until later in the week.

Police have a suspect in custody who rammed a police cruiser in southeast Baltimore and then led police on a half-hour chase that ended on Tollgate Road in Harford County Sunday evening.

Homicides in Baltimore city in October were down from October of 2006 but the cumulative total for 2007 stood at 252 homicides as of Saturday.

In sports, the Ravens are at the Steelers tonight in a Monday Night Football matchup on ESPN.
