Anonymous threat for Mon., Nov. 19 Updated: 8:04 PM 11/18/07
University police and local law enforcement agencies are actively investigating an anonymous threat to the University community. The threat specified harmful action would take place, possibly in or around Linthicum Hall, on Monday November 19, 2007. The nature of the threat calls into question its credibility. Out of an abundance of caution, for the safety and security of the community, an additional police presence will be noticeable throughout the day and evening. All persons entering Linthicum Hall on Monday November 19th are asked to use the main entrance located on Educational Walkway, Smith Hall side.
Anyone having any additional information is asked to contact the University through telephone number 410-704-4381.
Any updates to this message will be posted on the Universitys Website, http://www.towson.edu/, the University Police Website, http://www.towson.edu/adminfinance/facilities/police/ and distributed through the campus e-mail and the text messaging service.
All activities planned for November 19, 2007 will proceed as scheduled.
I first heard about this story on WBAL’s 11 p.m. (late because of football) news Sunday night. WMAR also has a report on it. WJZ has more online than other sources so far.

So what kind of “harmful action” was threatened? Wouldn’t it be nice to know if you’re supposed to watch out for bombs, or maybe someone in a trench coat with hidden automatic weapons?
