Baltimore Mayor Sheila Dixon to endorse Obama

Posted by Jeff Quinton on January 21, 2008

Baltimore Mayor Sheila Dixon is expected to endorse the presidential campaign of Senator Barack Obama at a Greater Baltimore Urban League event this morning. Congressman Elijah Cummings, Comptroller Peter Franchot, and Attorney General Doug Ganssler have all endorsed Obama.

The campaign of Senator Hillary Clinton has been endorsed by Senator Barbara Mikulski, Congressman Dutch Ruppersberger, and Governor Martin O’Malley. O’Malley and Mikulski campaigned for Clinton in New Hampshire.

The Maryland primaries are February 12.

Barak Obama has some attractive stances to a sensible Republican like me. I just can not see myself voting for a Democrat who wants more taxes. I am looking at Michael Bloomberg a lot.

Well, now that the mayor is under investigation I guess she won’t be attending any further BHO campaign events until the issue is resolved. I guess she has now joined the indicted mayor of Detroit and BHO supporter.
