Release: Cromwell Bridge Road to Close February 6

(February 1, 2008)—Baltimore County will close a section of Cromwell Bridge Road between Cub Hill Road and Loch Raven Drive on Wednesday, February 6 in order to stabilize the bank directly abutting the road. The road will be closed for one month, on weekdays and weekends, but only between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Between 3 p.m. and 9 a.m. traffic will resume its normal pattern. Cromwell Bridge Road will be reopened on or before March 5.
During construction, traffic will be detoured to Cub Hill Road, Waltham Woods Road, Proctor Lane and Satyr Hill Road. Repairs to Cromwell Bridge Road, which carries about 12,000 cars each day, will cost $175,000.
In addition to the road stabilization beginning next week, highway crews have scheduled maintenance work between Satyr Hill Road and Loch Raven from February 4 to February 8. Travelers should expect delays.
