Maryland Transportation Authority Police were searching for a possible drowning victim near the Key Bridge.

The investigation was sparked by someone who notified authorities about someone throwing a person…possibly a child…from the bridge into the water overnight, just before 11 p.m.

Officials have little else to go on in the investigation. The caller was not an eyewitness according to Cpl. Jonathan Green of MdTA police. And so far a search on the water below has turned up nothing. Green tells WBAL Radio that police are interviewing “a person of interest” in the case, but he would not be more specific.

Police are asking anyone who has any information about the case to call the Maryland Transportation Authority Police Department.
