Pedestrian killed in Jessup
Posted by Jeff Quinton on February 5, 2008Howard County police say a pedestrian wearing dark clothing and walking on a dark stretch of road was hit by an SUV and died.
It happened around 7 p.m. yesterday on state Route 175 near Pocomoke Drive in Jessup.
Police say a GMC Yukon was traveling in the slow lane when it stuck a female pedestrian in the roadway and knocked her down an embankment.
She was taken to Howard County General Hospital and pronounced dead.
