Ether spill at JHU campus
Posted by Jeff Quinton on February 19, 2008Fox 45 reported an unknown chemical spill that closed Maryland Hall on the campus of Johns Hopkins University this morning.
The Sun reports the following:
A building on the Johns Hopkins University campus was evacuated this morning after a report of an ether spill, according to a Baltimore Fire Department spokesman.
Firefighters were just arriving at Maryland Hall about 8 a.m. and were investigating, said the spokesman, Chief Kevin Cartwright.
Maryland Hall houses the departments of Chemical and Bio-molecular Engineering and Materials Science and Engineering. It is located near the center of campus off the 3400 block of N. Charles St., near the Wyman Quad.
