Baltimore County firefighters ended their search for a missing six month old boy in what’s left of a Randallstown apartment building.

Fire Department spokeswoman Elise Armacost says the family was notified that the boy’s body was found.

The fire was reported at 1:35 a.m. at 24 Stockmill Road. The fire appeared to begin on the third floor of a 3-story garden apartment building.

Armacost says the fire was extinguished about 4 a.m., but not before the building was destroyed.

Emergency officials are assisting 19 people who were displaced from the building and 11 people displaced from an adjacent building, which sustained little damage.

No cause is listed.

No one else was injured.
