I-95 construction closings in the week ahead

The following closures and detours will be in effect next week so contractors can perform work associated with the I-95 Express Toll Lanes SM Project:

# Monday-Thursday, beginning at 10 p.m., the ramp from southbound I-95 to westbound I-695 will be closed. Motorists will be detoured from southbound I-95 to eastbound I-695, to eastbound US 40 (Pulaski Highway), to westbound I-695.

# Monday, beginning at 11 p.m., and Tuesday-Wednesday, beginning at 10 p.m., northbound Interstate 895 past US 40 (Exit 13, Pulaski Highway) and the ramp from eastbound Moravia Road to northbound I-895/I-95 will be closed. Northbound I-895 motorists will be detoured to eastbound US 40, to westbound Moravia Road and back to northbound I-895/I-95. Eastbound Moravia Road motorists will be detoured to southbound I-95, to eastbound Eastern Avenue (Exit 59), to northbound I-95.

# Tuesday-Wednesday, beginning at 10 p.m., the ramp from eastbound I-695 to northbound I-95 will be closed. Motorists will be detoured from eastbound I-695 to eastbound US 40 (Pulaski Highway), to westbound I-695, to northbound I-95.

Officials said periodic traffic drags may be in effect on I-95 and I-895 for crews to move equipment and to perform construction activities. During the traffic drags, police will bring vehicles to a reduced pace prior to the work zones. All lanes will reopen and detours will be lifted at 5 a.m. each morning.
