The Delaware Human Relations Commission is investigating an allegation that a teacher in the Indian River School District told her fifth-grade class that she would not vote for presidential candidate Barack Obama because is “scary” and because he is a Muslim.

The complaint was lodged by the mother of a 10-year-old girl, who said the teacher made the comments prior to the mock primary on Super Tuesday, February 5th, at Lord Baltimore Elementary School. Obama is a Christian. The student is a Muslim.

The school district has released a statement saying it has conducted a thorough investigation.

They say they’ve resolved the issue after meeting with the mother and the teacher who allegedly made the comments.

Isn’t it amazing that the Delaware Human Relations Commission automatically investigates a perfectly legal statement since it involved a Muslim or the word “Muslim?”

Heck, I wouldn’t vote for a Muslim either! Not because I don’t like them, but because I don’t think a Muslim president would be good for the US right now. Oops! I hear the Human Rights Commission knocking… LOL!
