Memorial Day
Today, I want to wish everyone best wishes on Memorial Day, especially the families and friends of those who gave the ultimate sacrifice defending the United States.
Specifically, I want to recognize Maryland Army National Guard SFC Collin Bowen, who died of his wounds from an IED attack in Afghanistan. I also want to recognize Marine CPL Anthony P. Damato, who died in 1944 in the Pacific and was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor. Damato was my wife’s great uncle.
