Howard County police are searching for a missing 17-year-old autistic boy from Columbia. Howard Davenport McGill was reported missing by family members yesterday evening. They believe he walked away from his apartment sometime after 7:15 a.m. Tuesday morning from the 5700 block of Stevens Forest Road.

McGill was last seen wearing a green, long-sleeve shirt with a white stripe on the front and blue jeans, though he may have also taken a change of clothing. He is 5’8” tall, weighs 130 lbs. and answers to the nickname “Howie.”

McGill may be attempting to travel to the Harrisburg area of Pennsylvania where he and his family used to reside. Investigators have been searching for McGill since he was reported missing, but have been unable to locate him.

Anyone who sees McGill or has information about his location is urged to contact 911.
