Ray Lewis and wife (?) sued

TMZ reports that:

NFL star Ray Lewis rarely misses a tackle — but one company claims he completely wiffed on paying his bill.

Profession Events, LLC. in Arizona is suing Lewis, claiming he never paid for hostesses he hired for a Super Bowl party back in February. The company claims they were promised several times they’d get paid the $5,780 they were owed — but never did.

Bill Ordine
, where I first saw this, has more:

To be clear, the suit itself identifies whatever Lewis is supposed to owe money for as “promotional services.” If the word hostess is in the lawsuit and I missed it, I apologize.

An odd thing about the suit is that it identifies some of the defendants thusly: “Ray and Jane Doe Lewis are husband and wife and are nonresidents of Arizona.”

If the Ravens’ linebacker is married, that’s news to me and also to the team.

Ordine also links to the lawsuit at TMZ. One of Ordine’s commenters also points out that the defendants in the suit are listed as living in Indiana.
