45 possible illegals detained in Anne Arundel Co.
Posted by Jeff Quinton on June 30, 2008Federal immigration officials have arrested 45 people in Anne Arundel County on illegal immigration charges.
County police chief James Teare says search warrants were executed at an Annapolis painting business and 15 homes where employees lived early Monday.
Teare says the immigrants worked as painters and are being detained by the federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency.
County Executive John Leopold says 50 county police officers worked with 75 ICE officials in the investigation.
