Pedestrian hit on I-95
Maryland State Police said a pedestrian was struck on Interstate 95 Sunday while talking to his friends on the shoulder.
The pedestrian has not been identified by name, but is described as a 40-year-old man from Pennsauken, NJ.
Investigators said that the pedestrian had been driving a Kawasaki motorcycle, but had pulled over to speak with his friends on the northbound shoulder of Interstate 95.
While he was talking to his friends, a white van veered off the roadway onto the shoulder and struck the pedestrian and his motorcycle.
The pedestrian was transported to Shock Trauma Baltimore to be treated for his injuries, which police said did not appear to be life-threatening.
