MASN files another complaint against Comcast

The Mid-Atlantic Sports Network has filed another complaint with the Federal Communications Commission claiming that media giant Comcast refuses to air the Baltimore-based sports network in central Pennsylvania and parts of southern Virginia. MASN says it has tried for more than a year to resolve the carriage issue with Comcast, which owns the competing Comcast SportsNet. The FCC ruled in favor of MASN in 2006 resulting in Comcast adding the network in parts of MASN’s seven-state television territory, including Baltimore and DC. MASN, which is predominantly owned by the Baltimore Orioles, owns the broadcast rights to both the Orioles and the Washington Nationals. The Balto Biz Journal has more…..
