Baby born in 7-11 parking lot
Posted by Jeff Quinton on September 3, 2008A Carroll County woman has a healthy baby boy after an unexpected stop at a convenience store.
The woman and her neighbor were on the way to a hospital Monday after her water broke but were forced to stop at a 7-Eleven parking lot to deliver the baby.
A Westminster fire crew responded to the scene — but the baby was too fast for it.
“We got there and the baby was lying on the seat … The mom was very calm through the whole thing,” said Kim Royer of the EMT 1 Westminster Fire Station. She was just wonderful, and she even made the comment that she was hoping the child would be born on Labor Day. She thought that was kind of cool.”
