A man accused of drowning his three children in a hotel bathtub is fighting his wife’s divorce efforts.

He is challenging the terms of a divorce agreement he signed in September, while being held at the Maryland psychiatric hospital awaiting trial on murder charges.

Castillo, who is representing himself in the divorce case, says he signed the divorce agreement “under durress.”

At a recent hearing for the divorce case, Castillo appeared to indicate that he might seek some of the donations his wife received after the children were killed, as well as retirement savings and unspecified insurance money.

His wife, Amy Castillo, declined to be interviewed. Zeke Wharton, a friend who has served as her spokesman, describes the divorce proceeding as “very frustrating.”
