Winter weather today
Rain falling now could turn to sleet and ice before the morning is over.
A winter weather advisory is posted for the metro and adjoining counties from 6 this morning until 9 Wednesday morning.
Rain and sleet will mix and cause freezing on untreated surfaces.
The storm will bring in warm temperatures and turn to rain by Wednesday afternoon.
Up to 2 tenths of an inch of ice are possible in the advisory area.
