Emergency road repair detours

Baltimore Sun

Baltimore transportation officials are planning to close a portion of North Hilton Road starting at 7 a.m. tomorrow for emergency road repairs. Weather permitting, officials say they hope to have the work in the 3500 block of N. Hilton Road completed by 5 p.m. Friday. As a detour, northbound Hilton Road traffic will be directed east onto Liberty Heights Avenue, north on Wabash Avenue, west on Sequoia Avenue, and back onto Hilton Road. Southbound Hilton Road traffic will be directed west on Sequoia Avenue, south on Wabash Avenue, west onto Liberty Heights Avenue, and then back onto Hilton. Drivers can use Callaway Avenue as an alternate route, according to transportation officials. Buses that use Hilton will be diverted around the road work. For information on how bus routes will be affected, contact the Maryland Transit Administration at 410-539-5000.
