Frederick PD seeks stabbing suspect

Baltimore Sun

Frederick police are seeking a woman accused of stabbing a man in a fight over a hat, leaving him severely injured last night, authorities said.

Steven Alan Burdette, 26, checked himself into the emergency room at Frederick Memorial Hospital with a severe chest wound, and hospital staff alerted police, according to authorities. The man told officers that he was stabbed inside a dwelling in the 200 block of W. Fifth St. when he struggled with a woman who attempted to leave with the man’s hat.

Police identified the suspect as Paula Denise Fatka, 27, and described her as a white female with long black hair, brown eyes, and numerous scars and tattoos on each arm. She is 5 feet, 6 inches tall and weighs about 125 pounds, police said.

Police also said that Burdette will be placed in the custody of the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office because he had an open arrest warrant on drug charges.
