Rally against Illegal Aliens tonight
There is a rally in Annapolis today against illegal aliens. We were informed of it by Delegate Pat McDonough. Participants are being encouraged to visit their legislators in the office buildings at 5 p.m. while the rally at Lawyers Mall starts at 6. It includes speeches from people including McDonough. At 8, the participants will visit the legislature in regular 8 p.m. session.

I envision a group of exceptionally, bitter, hateful old white guys assembled – should be great. Mind you, I want rational immigration laws and I want them enforced, but really: you are more exercised about illegal aliens than you are about rapists? About murderers?
I suggest a rally against speeders, as they are more of a threat to human welfare than a bunch of illegal garbage men and gardeners are. I also suggest a rally against usury: charging illegally high interest rates. And a rally against operating a health club without a certificate from the Attorney General of Maryland regarding the return of unearned club dues in the event of a closure – that’s illegal, and demands mass action.

you are so uninformed about the real costs in lives and dollars. maybe do some research??? check out help save maryland, formed by a joe citizen from montgomery county. we are somewhat insulated here in the baltimore area. they are not against immigration, but MD is the only state east of the mississippi that allows drivers licenses without proper id.

I invite those who are concerned with the issue of illegal immigration to look at the real cost of supporting those who have broken the law by entering the United States illegally. No one should be denied the opportunity for a better life, but my grandparents came to this country at the turn of the last century through Ellis Island. They could not enter the U.S. unless they were sponsored by a legal citizen.
I am an instructor at a high school and community college in Southern California-the cost of educating those who are not here legally is crushing our system. The links above tell only part of the story of what is happening here. Immigration and the infusion of new ideas is wonderful. The crime, poverty, and loss of billions to support those who choose to break the law is not.
