Bill would let ISPs charge fee for parental controls
The Maryland Senate has given preliminary approval to legislation that would help parents restrict children’s access to certain Internet sites.
Sen. Nancy King, D-Montgomery, is sponsoring the bill to give parents a tool to help keep kids away from predators and from Web sites they are too young to view.
The bill would allow Internet service providers to charge a fee for households that opt to use parental control features.
