There’s quite a bit of shock in Catonsville. Many are upset by what police say was a fight that may have started over the use of the bathroom. They have arrested Benjamin Shorter, 41, for the attack.

It was the mid-afternoon crowd that witnessed the bloody fight. Witnesses say you could see it from the back door of the tavern.

Franklin Schissler, 66, died from his injuries. Shorter was charged with first-degree murder and is being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center.

Police say the men did not know each other. They believe Schissler left the bar to go to the bathroom, when Shorter followed him in. That is when they believe the assault occurred. Detectives have no motive at this time for the murder.
