Fox 45 snafu leads to no 24 for first 24 minutes
Television viewers who hoped to see 24 on WBFF tonight (at least on Comcast Channel 15, maybe on broadcast as well) were treated to a simulcast of the CW (WNUV Comcast Channel 14) and One Tree Hill for nearly the first half of the episode. The CW program on the Fox station featured the musical bed from the program but not sound for the voices of the characters. The HD feed of WBFF on Comcast was working, according to one Twitterer in the area.
Comcast responded pretty quickly via Twitter and reported that they were hearing the problem was related to WBFF and not to Comcast. Many viewers will probably be stuck watching 24 on Hulu tomorrow after it appears there to see what they missed or to even see the whole episode to prevent possible spoilers from the 2nd half that is being shown.
This may rank up there with the lottery drawings blanking out Bruce Springsteen’s Super Bowl appearance on another local station.
