Liberty Road Communities First Ever Memorial Day Parade
Festival to be Held May 23

Randallstown, Md. (May 20, 2009) – The Liberty Road Community will be holding its first ever Memorial Day Parade and Festival on Saturday, May 23, 2009 beginning at 9 a.m.

The Parade will leave from Liberty and Milford Mill Roads at 9 a.m. and will proceed eastbound on Liberty Road to Washington Avenue, ending at the Milford Mill Academy where a Community Festival will take place beginning at 10:30 a.m.

The event is being held during Baltimore County’s 350th Anniversary. The theme “Memorial Day Never Forget Always Honor” reminds citizens to commemorate the memories of our fallen heroes and loved ones who have made the ultimate sacrifice by giving their lives for the freedoms we enjoy today.

Parade and Festival Paticipants

Parade participants include Marching Bands, schools, churches and businesses. Festival participants include Chesapeake Urology who will be conducting free prostate screening, food, church and community vendors as well as entertainment with the closing performance by jazz legend, Art Sherrod Jr. See a list of parade and festival participants.

Free Shuttle Service

Park and Ride – Free shuttle bus service will run from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. from Old Court Middle School, 4627 Old Court Road, Baltimore, MD 21208, from Scotts Branch Elementary School, 8220 Tawnmoore Road, Baltimore, MD. 21244 and from the back parking lot behind the Giant Food Market, 3602 Milford Mill Road, Baltimore, MD 21244.
