Chief Johnson Announces Arrest in Tracey Tetso Disappearance
Tetso Was on Her Way to See a Concert in 2005Baltimore County, Md. (June 18, 2009) – Baltimore County Police arrested Dennis Joseph Tetso, 44, of the 7800-block of Bluegrass Road, 21237, on a grand jury indictment for the murder of his wife, Tracey Leigh Tetso. He was arrested at approximately 3 p.m. today at his place of employment without incident.
Investigators say that police were called at approximately 8:49 p.m. on March 7, 2005 to the Bluegrass Road address after receiving a call for a missing person. When they arrived, Tracey’s husband Dennis told officers that she had left for a Motley Crue concert in Washington, D.C. in her black 1996 Pontiac Trans Am, and never returned. Tracey was last heard from around 3 p.m. on March 6, 2005. She was 32 years old at the time of her disappearance.
Detectives learned that her car had passed through the southbound side of the Harbor Tunnel on March 6, 2005 just before 8 p.m. Investigators learned that Tracey never made it to the concert, and her car was found on March 17, 2005 at a hotel parking lot in the 6600-block of Ritchie Highway, 21061.
Many missing person organizations and concerned citizens have assisted in the search for Tracey who still has not been found. However, detectives and prosecutors have recently reviewed the case and, as a result of the evidence they currently have, presented the case before a grand jury. The grand jury indicted Dennis Tetso on Monday, June 15, with the first-degree murder of his wife, Tracey.
Dennis Tetso has been charged with first-degree murder and is being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center with bail denied. He will be afforded a bail review sometime tomorrow.
