Two bodies found in burning home
Prince George’s County fire officials said the bodies of two people were recovered from a burning home in Upper Marlboro on Saturday night.
Fire officials are awaiting autopsy results to determine how the victims died, as well as the identity of one of the victims, who was burned beyond recognition. The other victim was a man.
Fire department spokesman Mark Brady said calls came in at about 11:45 p.m. Saturday.
When firefighters arrived, they found heavy fire throughout the home and were forced to try to douse the flames from outside.
Firefighters tried get inside after hearing people were trapped but were forced to retreat.
