Baltimore County Police Department Promotes 10 Officers and
One Member of the Professional Staff

Baltimore, Md. (July 10, 2009) – On July 13, the Baltimore County Police Department will promote 10 officers and one member of the professional staff. The ceremony will take place in the Vista Room at the Timonium Fairgrounds, 2200 York Road, Timonium.

The ceremony for the promotees and their families will begin at 10 a.m. Baltimore County Executive, James T. Smith Jr. and Chief James W. Johnson will present the promotion certificates to the newly promoted. They will be joined by other county dignitaries for the ceremony. Baltimore County Police Chaplain Reverend Herbert Watson Jr. will deliver the invocation and the benediction. The Honorable Suzanne Mensh, Clerk of the Circuit Court, will administer the oath of office.

Those to be promoted are:

Sergeant Mark Horvath is promoted to the rank of Lieutenant.

Corporal Biff Benson is promoted to Sergeant.
Corporal Mark Bucsok is promoted to the rank of Sergeant.
Corporal Michael Fruhling is promoted to the rank of Sergeant.
Corporal Jeff Rohde is promoted to the rank of Sergeant.

Officer Paolo Farfoglia is promoted to the rank of Corporal.
Officer Justin Hackler is promoted to the rank of Corporal.
Officer Douglas Jess is promoted to the rank of Corporal.
Officer William Page is promoted to the rank of Corporal.
Officer Paul Schulman is promoted to the rank of Corporal.

Melissa N. Williams is promoted to the position of Management Analyst II.
