Y OF CENTRAL MARYLAND WELCOMES THREE NEW
MEMBERS TO Y ASSOCIATION BOARD OF DIRECTORS
(BALTIMORE, MD)–The Y of Central Maryland announced the election of three new members to its Association Board of Directors. As members of the Board, Ida Samet, Christopher Rolle and Dwight Taylor will provide their expertise and leadership to the organization as its works to growth and strengthen its impact across Central Maryland. All three have shown a strong commitment throughout their community activities and professional careers to the Y’s mission of developing the full potential of every individual through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.“I am excited about the addition of these three leaders to our Board. Ida Samet is the Vice President of Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, Inc. At Sinai Hospital, she is responsible for managing the overall operations of Women’s and Children’s Services, Oncology Services for LifeBridge Health, Off Campus Satellite locations and Community Outreach Initiatives for LifeBridge Health. She currently serves on the Finance Committee of the Maryland Affiliate Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, as well as the Therapy Service Council for Jewish Community Services.
Christopher D. Rolle currently holds the position of Area Executive and Senior Vice President at BB&T Bank in Westminster, Maryland. An active member in the community, he serves on several boards including Mission of Mercy Advisory Board, Carroll County Community College Foundation Board, and Partnership for a Healthier Carroll County Board.
Dwight S. Taylor recently retired as President of Corporate Development Services, LLC, the development subsidiary of Corporate Office Properties Trust. As President, he was responsible for identifying and capturing new development opportunities and overseeing the design and construction of suburban office buildings in key submarkets in the Mid-Atlantic region. Dwight is a founding member of Associated Black Charities and currently serves on the Trustee Boards of the Baltimore Polytechnic Institute, Capitol College and Lincoln University.
