Baltimore Sun editorial board member defends ACORN
At the end of the day, though, what does this prove? Certainly that these two ACORN workers displayed astonishing stupidity. But does it show that ACORN is as lawless as its critics contend? It’s important to note that the two filmmakers, Hannah Giles and James O’Keefe, were turned away when they tried the same stunt in other cities. If they wanted to prove something about the organization as a whole, they might have tried a less salacious scenario. Of course, that would have been much less likely to rocket them to YouTube and Fox News stardom.
Of course, evidence countering the above excerpt of Green’s post is word today at BigGovernment.com that O’Keefe and Giles got similar advice from an ACORN office in Washington, DC.
In the comments below the post, Green also replies to a commenter that he believes ACORN is looking at the possibility of the state filing charges against O’Keefe and Miles for violating Maryland law.
If you wish to express your polite disagreement or agreement with Mr. Green, you can send him an email to andrew.green@baltsun.com or call 410-332-6000 and ask for Andy Green.

The rather unique Maryland ‘wiretap’ law was written for the protection of criminals and the punishment of whistle blowers. It was inspired by a now forgotten effort of the thuggish Jack Pollack to extort some favor from the late Governor Tawes on the basis of a recorded conversation.
It has been invoked but a few times. Jessamy may not be a thug-hugger on the scale of Eric Holder but she is the best that Baltimore can do. She is a servile hack of the local establishment.
