Heckler tells Obama ‘You lie’ at MD speech
Thousands of University of Maryland College Park students mixed with the general public inside the Comcast Center today to hear President Barack Obama put in another pitch for his health care reform proposal.
But as Mr. Obama was speaking, a heckler shouted out “you lie” from the stands. The president apparently did not hear the heckler’s remarks because he said to the crowd “what’s going on guys?”
WBAL radio’s Robert Lang says the unidentified heckler stood up and made the remark along with some anti-abortion slogans. Lang says the man was booed by the crowd and people in the crowd started surrounding him. The man was led away by campus police. While he was being led away, someone grabbed the man’s hat and tossed it into the crowd.

I was sitting a couple seats from the heckler and he never said “You lie”. Plus, I was there when the reporter from WBAL interviewed a man who was also sitting near and he said he felt frustrated because he couldn’t hear President Obama. He never said the heckler said You lie. The heckler said over and over You kill children We don’t want abortions. We couldn’t hear the president speak; otherwise, we would have ignored this insane behavior.

Never mind, it was just some moron who works for “Operation Rescue”, those mindless anti-abortion twits.
“Andrew Beacham, a 26-year-old intern for Operation Rescue Insurrecta Nex, was ejected Thursday after disrupting President Obama’s health care speech at the University of Maryland.
“I did it because the emperor has no clothes,” Beacham said. “Every time the government puts forth a new proposal, they just find different ways to fund abortion.”
According to Insurrecta Nex, a conservative anti-abortion group based in Washington, D.C., Beacham was also arrested for disrupting Obama’s Notre Dame commencement speech and Sonia Sotomayor’s Senate Judiciary Committee confirmation hearing.
Beacham was escorted out by campus police.
“I was detained briefly,” Beacham said. “They asked for some of my personal information, but after that I basically was allowed to walk out of the building.”
Nice, what an idiot. I love how Conservatives want to keep government out of your lives, unless you are a woman, then you need to be told what to do with your body.
