NFL Network is partnering with Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley, Verizon FiOS TV and the Baltimore Ravens to kick off theKeep Gym in School program in Anne Arundel County Public Schools on Tuesday, September 29, at Corkran Middle School in Glen Burnie. After a school-wide pep rally emceed by NFL Network Analyst Jamie Dukes celebrating the refurbished Physical Education facilities funded with a $50,000 Keep Gym in School grant, Baltimore Ravens Brendon Ayanbadejo and Matt Birk will lead students through fitness tests and football-inspired drills during an on-field minicamp. Corkran Middle School is one of four middle schools nationwide receiving a Keep Gym in School PE revamp this year, and one of approximately 150 schools that will benefit from the NFL Network’s Keep Gym in School Fitness Program.
A program of NFL PLAY 60, the league’s youth health and fitness campaign, Keep Gym in School is NFL Network’s national effort to ensure quality physical education and fitness in schools.
