ROBBERY
CROFTONOn October 21, 2009, at approximately 10:05, officers from the Western District responded to the Paceway convenience store located in the 1300 block of Defense Highway in Crofton for an armed robbery. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the store clerks, who advised that a male subject entered the store armed with a dark-colored handgun and demanded money from the clerks. The clerks complied with the demands and handed over an undetermined amount of money. The suspect then fled the store on foot. Several officers, an aviation unit and a K9 unit searched the area, but were unable to locate the suspect.
Suspect: Black male, approximately 6’0” with a thin build, wearing a dark-colored sweatshirt with the hood up (armed with a dark colored handgun)
NORTHERN DISTRICT
SHOOTING
GLEN BURNIEOn October 21, 2009, at approximately 10:18 p.m., officers from the Northern District responded to the 200 block of Woodhill Drive in Glen Burnie for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located the victim, a 25-year-old male from Glen Burnie, who was suffering from an apparent gun shot wound to the back. Fire Department personnel transported the victim to University of Maryland Shock Trauma to be treated for non-life threatening injuries. At this time, there is no suspect or motive and the investigation is ongoing.
