Baltimore Sun circulation drops 14.6%
More tough news for The Baltimore Sun. For the six months ending September 2009, daily circulation dropped 14.6 percent to 186,639. Sunday circulation fared a bit better, dropping only 8 percent to 322,491. Nationally, newspaper circulation dropped 10.6 percent, as the industry continues to search for ways to increase readership and/or revenue.

I’ve heard circulation related issues for most newspapers. Some people have the same issue you have and some have the opposite.
My parents got a Greenville News subscription for several months for free while trying to convince them they were getting it without paying for it and paying for a subscription again.
