When they get to Wilmington, they shut down streets and intersections all out of town so he can be whisked to his fancy mansion. Very blue collar indeed. To the person in reply #1: For some these delays are a 'minor inconvenience', but for those who must get children from daycare, or catch buses or additional public transportation after taking the train, even a few minutes delay can be compounded to cause big problems. Small sacrifice? I don't think so, especially when I have no choice in the matter. Security at Union Station is poor enough - but having the VP and a half-dozen vehicles drive into and out of the platform station is a risk I'm surprised the Secret Service takes. Yeah, they keep us commuters at bay, but Amtrak personel wander freely, and nobody thinks nothing of it, much less check ID's or credentials. Biden should be more considerate of the people who put him and Obama into office. Being momentarily delayed on occasion is a small sacrifice to make in return for his service. Neither he or his wife have their own rail cars. they ride with the rest of the public and all pay in their party pay their fares.
