Report of a workplace shooting at Keary Advertising
WMAR reports two people have been shot at Keary Advertising in North Point and the County homicide detectives are on the scene. They report the shooting happened just before 12:30 p.m. today.
The Keary Advertising website says they were founded in 1950, do direct mail advertising, and have worked for clients including the Orioles, Goucher College, the Univ. of MD Medical Systems, and Johns Hopkins.
They are located at 7215 Rolling Mill Road and have at least 5 staff members.
UPDATE
WJZ reports that at least one person is dead and one injured. They also report it’s the result of a domestic situation. Police have apparently blocked roads off in a four block radius.
UPDATE 2
WJZ reports on the same site linked above that:
According to the husband of an employee of the company, a man came into the building, shot a supervisor at least six times then turned the gun on himself.
Both the supervisor and shooter died from injuries sustained during the incident.
UPDATE 3
WJZ is now reporting Wayne Keary was the supervisor shot six times by the shooter who came into the building.
