Warrant Obtained for Man in October 21 Shooting in Precinct 1/Wilkens

Baltimore County, Md. (November 16, 2009) – Baltimore County Police have obtained an arrest warrant for Damon Dameo Gray, 17, who was recently released from jail on an unrelated crime. He is wanted for the attempted murder of a 17-year-old on October 21, at approximately 8:51 p.m. Gray has no fixed address, however detectives believe he is frequenting the Lakebrook Circle area in Baltimore County and the Cherry Hill area of Baltimore City. Damon Gray is described as a black male, 6’1” tall, weighing approximately 150 pounds.

Police responded to the unit-block of Bero Road, 21227 for reports of shots fired. When they arrived, they found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to his lower body. He was transported by ambulance to Shock Trauma with a non-life threatening injury. He has since been released.

Detectives say that the victim was walking behind the homes on Bero Road when the suspect approached him and began to shoot at the victim. During their investigation into the incident detectives identified Gray. They are not releasing any further information because the investigation into the shooting is continuing.
