Cardin School to Host Lecture and Exhibit by Renowned Israeli Artist Tamar Messer

Tamar Messer to Lecture and Present an Artistic Representation of Illustrations on the 5 Megillot


(Baltimore, MD) – Israeli artist Tamar Messer will lecture and present an artistic representation of illustrations based on the 5 Megillot at Shoshana S. Cardin School on Wednesday evening, December 2 at 7:30 pm.

During her lecture, Tamar will explain the intricacies of illustration and her work depicting the stories of the 5 Megillot, which are part of the third major section of the Hebrew Bible and formed of the biblical books including The Song of Songs, Book of Ruth, Book of Lamentations, Ecclesiastes and the Book of Esther.

Tamar Messer is a well-known and loved Israeli artist. The distinct, vivid colorful style of her work draws upon a spirit of vitality that speaks to the young and young at heart. Tamar’s work has been exhibited in numerous exhibitions in Israel and across the world including an international exhibit in London in 2000 where she won first prize while representing the state of Israel. In addition to her work as an artist, Tamar lecturers at art and design schools in Israel and works as a professional illustrator for books and newspapers.
