Every month Radisson Hotel at Cross Keys hosts a “Wine Wednesday”. The goal every month is to support Maryland wineries by hosting educational events in a relaxed environment. The featured winery this month is Boordy Vineyards.

On February 10^th from 6:30 to 8:00pm guests can enjoy samples of Boordy wines, and special made appetizers to pair. Boordy representatives will be present for the tasting. Wines will be available for sale by either glass or bottle. Unfinished bottles will even be corked and bagged for guests to take home.

So make sure to head over to Radisson Hotel at Cross Keys and start your “Romatic-a-thon” Valentines weekend early!

Mark your calendar…More Jersey Shore comin’ to Bmore. Snooki’s Picklepalooza @powerplantlive @mexbaltimore @luckiestavern Thurs 2/25

Snooki, a.k.a. Nicole Polizzi, will be the second cast member from the MTV reality show to visit Baltimore. The Situation (Mike Sorrentino) will be guest bartender at Mad River on February 11. Both will be chances to pick up the douchebag badge in Foursquare if you still have yet to receive it. Of course, every other mention of this badge/tag (here and here) has resulted in venues having the douchebag tag removed by someone. We noticed later in every instance that someone added it back. It will be interesting to see how fast the above venues have that tag removed today after this post, and also how fast it is added back.

Vanilla Ice, a.k.a., Robert Van Winkle, will be in Baltimore at Mex Tequila Bar tonight for a “meet and greet only” according to his website.

For those of you on Foursquare, it will be yet another chance for you to earn that douchebag badge we mentioned the other day in the post on the Mad River visit next month by The Situation from Jersey Shore.

I hadn’t blogged about the visit to Mad River in February by The Situation of MTV’s scummy series Jersey Shore yet, but decided I finally would break down and do so – with a twist.

It was tweeted all over town early last week that The Situation, a.k.a. Michael Sorrentino, would be in town at Mad River on Charles Street as a guest bartender on the evening of February 11. Sam Sessa of the Baltimore Sun wrote an article about it this week and also blogged about it.

I had heard about the douchebag badge on Foursquare awhile back but hadn’t given much thought to it. At the time I first heard of it, I thought it required a check-in at 3 venues with the douchebag tag. I’m thinking it may only take one check-in now based on recent reading.

This means a lot of people might be earning the douchebag badge on February 11 since Mad River is tagged with that term. In fact, I did a search and discovered four separate venues in Baltimore with the tag of douchebag. They are Howl at the Moon, Magerks, Mad River, and Bay Cafe.

Have you already earned that badge visiting one or multiple locations already tagged with the term here in town? If so, be sure to tell us about it in the comments.

Also, be sure to tell us what other venues think are deserving of that tag. You can also tell us if you think any of the listed places above are undeserving of that tag. Of course, now that I mentioned it, people might start adding the tag randomly or on places they don’t like. Some people have even added tags in other cities to venues to game the system to get the karaoke or gym badges. I’m not sure someone would voluntarily do that for the douchebag badge, however.
