BALTIMORE SCHOOL FOR THE ARTS CELEBRATES
3OTH ANNIVERSARY WITH ANNUAL EXPRESSIONS WEEKEND
Three-day event to raise money for college scholarships,
student assistance and programming
(Baltimore) – Baltimore School for the Arts was founded in 1980. Three decades later, the students are Still Soaring. BSA is proud to announce a celebration 30 years in the making, Expressions: Still Soaring, a three-day event honoring the school’s many successes.
The Expressions Gala will kick-off the fundraiser on Saturday, March 6 featuring an Alumni Art Exhibition, Expressions classes in art, music, dance and theater, a seated dinner, and a special performance by BSA students. On March 7, Sunday Expressions will take place at 2:00 and 5:30 p.m. featuring a matinee presentation perfect for families and friends. An encore presentation of the Sunday Expressions will take place the following weekend on March 14 with an offering of the 2:00 and 5:30 p.m. matinees. Stage One/FANS Expressions will conclude the weekend on Monday, March 8 at 6:30 p.m. and will feature lite-fare, drinks and dessert.
The highlight of all three events will be the Expressions performance, an hour-long show by students from Baltimore School for the Art’s theatre, dance, and music departments. The school’s art gallery will also be open during the events for an Alumni Exhibition with work submitted by the visual art alumni and juried by the BSA visual art facility.
