You can find a discussion on Google Wave in the embedded wave below. We want people to discuss the game before, during and after it – including any news items or opinions that others might not have heard or would be interested in. Links to stories and news are good as well. You can go to the wave directly by searching on with:public ravens patriots insidecharmcity or you can follow and reply to it where it’s embedded below.

Apparently both Jayne Miller of WBAL TV and Rob Lang of WBAL AM beat Marc Steiner to the punch on the Sheila Dixon resignation story. David Zurawik originally gave Steiner the credit. Baltimore Brew has more (via DCRTV.)
Zurawik also blogged about the “social media” aspect of the breaking story yesterday and goes on to mention reporters tweeting about the resignation. He points out a tidbit from Julie Bykowicz – that courtroom staff kept reporters from leaving the hearing after the judge reminded them of no tweeting or texting from the courtroom.
Zurawik left out any mention of the @insidecharmcity tweets about the breaking story and he also has no mention of Google Wave for discussions of events as they happened. We seem to be the only media outlet in town that has been using Wave in groundbreaking ways for the past couple of months – including yesterday and on the day Dixon was found guilty.

I will be giving away a Google Wave nomination (invitation) to the first 9 people to post a comment on this post. You must put the email address you want the nomination sent to in the email field on the comment. Comments will be closed after the first 9 replies.
Just a note: a nomination for Google Wave is not like a Gmail invitation. It is not always an instantaneous thing. Lately they have been going through pretty quickly, but they have been known to take a couple of days before.
