The new Miss California Nicole Johnson has been reported to have dated Michael Phelps in fall of 2008. It made the tabloid/entertainment shows last night as well as other sites online.

This morning on WMMX (106.5) Reagan Warfield reported on the news in his entertainment report. He mentioned that former Miss California Carrie Prejean, who also dated Phelps, is now dating former Ravens QB Kyle Boller. Boller previously dated Tara Reid.

According to a tax lien filed last year — which is still active — the Golden Boy owes the State of California $23,289.16 for tax returns back in 2005 and 2006.

Michael Phelps inked a new deal Wednesday with swimsuit maker Speedo through 2013.

The deal ensures the Baltimore native and 14-time Olympic gold medalist will wear Speedo gear at the 2012 Summer Games in London.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

But Los Angeles-based Speedo will donate $10,000 to the Michael Phelps Foundation for every world record the swimmer sets. Phelps, a Speedo endorser since 2001, said he will match each donation.

David Zurawik reports that Shaquille O’Neal will be swimming against Michael Phelps this Sunday at the North Baltimore Aquatic Club. The competition will be filmed to be a part of Shaq’s new ABC series “Shaq Vs.”

Zurawik incorrectly states that the next episode airing will feature O’Neal vs. Ben Roethlisberger on August 25. That episode aired last night. Shaq will take on Misty May-Treanor and Kerri Walsh in beach volleyball in next week’s episode.
