Lawsuit and protective order against Terrell Suggs dropped

WBAL.com

An attorney for Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs says the mother of Suggs’ two children has withdrawn a $70 million lawsuit against him, and the couple is trying to reconcile.

Lynn Hoffman, who represents Suggs, says Candace Williams voluntarily withdrew the lawsuit and filed a motion to rescind a protective order she had taken out against him last month. That motion was granted Thursday.

Restraining Order against Ravens’ Suggs

WMAR reports that a woman who is apparently the girlfriend of Ravens’ player Terrell Suggs has gotten a restraining order against the linebacker:

Details of the incident are not known. City police say they do not have an arrest record for Suggs, meaning his girlfriend could have gone straight to the court commissioner for the restraining order.

According to court records, the order was filed on Friday during a hearing that took place at 2:00 Friday afternoon.

The order dictates that Suggs shall not abuse, contact, enter the woman’s home.

The next hearing date is scheduled for 1:30pm Friday.

The WMAR story quotes a Ravens press release on the matter saying they are “looking into” the situation, but as of right now that statement is not on the team website. Instead, they have a story on the team monitoring Suggs’ status as it relates to an ankle injury.

UPDATE

Here’s information on the order from the judicial case search website (click on the image for a larger version):

Suggs also has 3 moving violations still listed as active going back to 2003. They include speeding (77 in a 55) and failure to yield right of way on a left turn in Carroll County. He was also charged in Bel Air with speeding (82 in a 65.)

A civil suit filed against Suggs in Baltimore County by the McDonogh Oaks Homeowners Association was dismissed.

Ray Lewis critical of Brady Quinn’s ‘cheap shot’ on Suggs

Ravens Insider

“Heck yeah it was a cheap shot,” Lewis said after the Ravens’ 16-0 win. “When you’re running down and you’re looking at the quarterback going at somebody’s knees who doesn’t even have the ball. I want to see if he gets the same fine I got or even higher. Now this man is out four or five weeks because of some baloney like that.”

Terrell Suggs’ T-shirt

Baltimore Sports Report had this picture of the “You bet your sweet ass I hate the Steelers” t-shirt that Terrell Suggs was wearing at Friday’s practice for the Ravens:
