ULI Baltimore’s 2009 WaveMaker Awards, Part I

The Urban Land Institute (ULI) WaveMaker Awards for Baltimore were held last night on the 24th floor of the new Legg Mason building in Harbor East. I was going to make a longer post, but I had an unplanned meeting pop up this afternoon out of town, so look for more posts over the next few days with more details on the award winners and honorees.

Mayor Sheila Dixon and City Council President Stephanie Rawlings-Blake were in attendance and assisted with the awards.

To start things off, the city was given the Heritage Award from the ULI Americas for the redevelopment of the Inner Harbor. Mayor Dixon received the award on behalf of the city. Then after that, seven development projects were honored with the WaveMaker awards.

The winners:
Baltimore Medical System (Highlandtown Healthy Living Center)
Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott (101 President Street)
Legg Mason Tower Harbor East
Miller’s Court (2601 N. Howard Street)
Orchard Ridge
Silo Point
American Brewery

All of the pictures below the fold were taken by me last night during the reception and the awards ceremony. Just click on the thumbnails to view the larger picture. I also wanted to thank the Mayor’s photographer for his assistance and professionalism during the awards ceremony. Please be on the lookout for our follow-up posts on this event.
