Update: BWI Commerce Park ‘hostage situation’ ends in police shooting
A man threatening others with a box cutter has been fatally shot by police.
Police were summoned to the Trojan Alarm Solutions for a fight. When they arrived, the suspect was holding a box cutter and was threatening others with it. One person was stabbed. The officers told him to drop the box cutter, but he refused. The officers shot him.
He was taken to Baltimore Washington Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
The stabbing victim was taken to the hospital; his wounds are not life-threatening.
The suspect’s name has not been released.
