MAKE IT MATTER WITH THE Y
Y of Central Maryland celebrates National Make it Matter Day
(Baltimore, MD)— Families throughout Baltimore are invited to the Harry & Jeanette Weinberg Family Center Y for a free morning of fun and entertainment in honor of National Make it Matter Day–a day that celebrates volunteerism and the importance of reading to young children. Families can enjoy a free Dr. Seuss “Green Eggs and Ham” breakfast and choose from 500 donated children’s book, as well as participate in the Y’s Head Start “I am Moving, I am Learning” activity with music, movement and literature. Additionally, participants will have fun with “Mother Goose on the Loose,” sponsored by the Enoch Pratt Library, which features nursery rhymes, music, and more! The Y invites everyone throughout the area to take advantage of this free fun event. Make it Matter Day is made possible in part through a Reader’s Digest sponsorship.
